Lost and Found

Starting Sept. 1, 2017, UO Police will receive, hold, and distribute found property, from water bottles to laptop computers and nearly everything else. Essentially all found property regardless of value will go to UOPD, except perishable or hazardous items.

Found property from around the UO will be sent to UOPD each Tuesday for logging and storage. Owners can then check with UOPD and retrieve found property from the police station, at 2141 E. 15th Ave. (the northeast corner of 15th Avenue and Walnut Street across from Fairmount Park) weekdays between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (excluding holidays).

Owners will be required to show identification, and provide some proof of ownership (which can include a detailed description) before claiming an item. UOPD staff will contact owners of property that has visible contact information.

Email lost and found inquiries to found@uopd.org. The lost and found phone number (a voice mailbox) is 541-346-3232.
