Report non-emergency crime

Our online form can be used to report criminal activity that has occurred on campus and is NOT currently in progress, such as an assault, theft, drugs, or vandalism.

For emergencies, life-threatening situations, or crimes in progress, call 9-1-1 on- or off-campus.

To help maintain a safe and secure campus environment, all crimes should be reported promptly to law enforcement.

  • For the best results for crime victims and the community, crimes should be reported as soon as possible (within minutes, not hours, days or weeks) so police can have a better chance of catching suspects.
  • Report by phone (not by email or text) so dispatchers can get all the information needed to send help.

Prompt reporting aids law enforcement officers in the investigation and apprehension of perpetrators, and allows law enforcement to put resources where they are most needed. Faculty, staff and students should be aware of crime to take steps that may help avoid becoming a victim of similar crimes. Information on campus crime can be found at police.uoregon.edu/crime.
