Do you want to leave your bike in a secure place over summer break and plan to return for fall term? Learn about UOPD's new secure bike storage program, Keep My Seat Warm.
This free program is available to UO students, staff, and faculty. Keep My Seat Warm runs from June 2-October 10, 2025. Bikes must be picked up before the end of the program.
Program Overview:
- All participants agree to voluntarily disclose the requested information as part of participation.
- No information collected for the Keep Your Seat Warm Program will be used for any other purpose than identifying the rightful owner of each bike and connecting each bike with it's proper owner.
- Participants agree to provide current information for UOPD personnel to contact rightful owners of stored and retrieved bikes.
- UOPD will not release a bike to anyone other than the person who registers the bike in the program without written permission. UOPD reserves the right to contact the person registering the bike if needed before the bike is released.
- Keep My Seat Warm will accept bicycles and e-bikes only.
- Program runs Monday June 2, 2025- Friday, October 10, 2025. If you have not retrieved your bike by the end of the program, the bike will be donated.
- Keep My Seat Warm is not intended for in and out storage. Once the bike is stored and then picked up, the service will conclude. You will not be able to store the bike again with UOPD until winter break.
- It is the responsibility of the owner to keep a record of the bike's serial number and description in case further proof of ownership is needed to store or reclaim the bike.
